SHIPPING POLICY

SHIPPING AREA

CLAYFOOT PLANT CO. currently ships within the contiguous United States and the District of Columbia.

We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, United States territories, APO/FPO/DPO addresses, or international destinations.

LIMITED LOCAL PICKUP

Limited local pickup may be available in the Denver metro area, by prior arrangement. Pickup is not offered automatically at checkout and is not guaranteed.

Contact pickup@clayfootco.com before placing your order to confirm availability. If pickup is approved, we will provide the pickup instructions and arrange payment or send an invoice without shipping charges.

For privacy and scheduling reasons, the pickup location and time are provided only after the arrangement is confirmed. Please do not arrive without an appointment.

Local delivery is not currently offered.

PROCESSING AND SHIPPING DAYS

Orders generally require 2–5 business days for processing.

To reduce the risk of live plants sitting in a carrier facility over a weekend, orders containing live plants are normally shipped on Monday or Tuesday. Holidays, severe weather, carrier disruptions, and plant condition may affect this schedule.

An order placed later in the week may be held until the following Monday or Tuesday. Tracking information will be emailed when the shipping label is created. Tracking activity may not appear until the carrier scans the package.

SHIPPING SERVICES AND RATES

Available USPS shipping services are displayed at checkout based on the destination, package weight, and package dimensions.

Current services may include:

• USPS Ground Advantage
• USPS Priority Mail

Rates and estimated transit times are calculated by the carrier. Selecting a faster service changes the expected carrier transit time but does not eliminate Clayfoot’s processing period or weather-related shipping precautions.

Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed arrival dates.

WEATHER AND SHIPPING HOLDS

Live plants can be damaged by extreme heat, freezing temperatures, storms, and prolonged carrier delays. We monitor conditions at the shipping origin, destination, and along the expected route.

When conditions create an unreasonable risk to the plant, we may contact you to recommend delaying shipment. If a delay prevents us from shipping within the timeframe promised when the order was placed, you may agree to the delay or cancel the unshipped order for a full refund to the original payment method.

We will not substitute store credit for a required refund unless you expressly agree to receive store credit.

PACKAGING

Live plants are packed to reduce movement, soil loss, moisture damage, and physical injury during ordinary transit. Packaging methods may vary according to the plant’s size, growth habit, substrate, weather, and season.

Some temporary drooping, minor soil displacement, or other mild shipping stress can occur during transit. Instructions for reporting serious arrival damage are provided in our Return and Refund Policy.

DELIVERY AND TRACKING

Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking and retrieving live-plant packages promptly after delivery.

Whenever possible:

• Arrange for someone to receive the package
• Avoid leaving the package outdoors in direct sun, freezing temperatures, or severe weather
• Open and inspect the package promptly
• Contact us within 24 hours if the plant arrives dead or severely damaged

A carrier’s delivery estimate may change while the package is in transit.

ADDRESS ACCURACY

Please verify the shipping address before submitting an order.

If you notice an error, contact billing@clayfootco.com immediately. We will make reasonable efforts to correct the address before fulfillment, but changes cannot be guaranteed after an order has been packed, fulfilled, or transferred to the carrier.

The customer may be responsible for carrier correction fees, return-to-sender charges, or reshipping costs caused by an incorrect or incomplete address supplied with the order, except where prohibited by law.

DELAYED, LOST, OR DAMAGED PACKAGES

If tracking stops updating, the package is substantially delayed, or the carrier reports the package lost, contact billing@clayfootco.com with your order number.

We will review the tracking history and, when appropriate, open an inquiry or claim with USPS. Please retain the shipping box, plant, pot, and all packing materials because photographs or inspection may be required.

For confirmed loss, serious transit damage, or another covered fulfillment problem, we will provide an appropriate remedy consistent with our Return and Refund Policy and applicable law.

If tracking shows “delivered” but the package cannot be located:

• Check the delivery area, mailbox, parcel locker, household, and neighbors
• Allow until the end of the delivery day in case the carrier scanned it early
• Contact the local USPS office
• Notify us promptly if it remains missing

COMBINED ORDERS AND MULTIPLE PACKAGES

Items from one order may be shipped in more than one package when necessary for plant safety or package size. If an order is divided into multiple shipments, separate tracking numbers may be provided.
